My Take and Highlights

What is more important than knowing what is the star buy in the market where money are chasing after. Because we all know... Picking a wrong share that is not well-liked by fund managers, is as good as handcuffing ourselves. Hence, Highlights of the Month will suggest you with what are the information that you should know to make a wiser decision in investing your money.

Issue #1 Highlights of the Month - May 2022 :

International payments currency

Knowing which currencies that take the top few rankings of the world payment currencies by value, helps tremendously in deciding which correlated stock markets can be stay vested. Especially the current market volatility is relatively much higher, therefore beside ensuring the liquidity of the particular stock market is maintained, and the active present of funds is ultimately the driving forces behind all the counters.

The recent craze of global interest rate hikes, the FX market has been extremely volatile and as such, whichever foreign markets you are planning to bet your money on, is as good as buying into its dominant currency. Therefore, investors should consider not just the growth potential of that market, but the currency strength of its correlated currency.

Investors can refer to the following chart from Statista... ranked by the SWIFT, on the most used global currency in 2021. Just one remark, Thai Baht ranks 12th, and SGD ranks 9th place showing the strategic location of AESAN is gaining recognition worldwide.

My Takes in 2022: Q2

In the beginning of 2022, I had already discussed my take on 2022, are none other than the following:

  • Agricultural Sector

  • Oil and Gas Industry : Keppel an SembCorp Ind

And of course, some adjustments on the above for Q2. For agriculture section, it will remain strong because of the rising demand but the share price of the related companies may turn softer. And I suggest if you had bought in the beginning of the year. Can consider to take profit partial.

For Oil and Gas Industry, I remained my buy calls on them, and if any of them fall in prices in Q2, can load up more.

💡Tips: Always remember to buy higher high, not buy into a counter when it hit lower low
